I had a wonderful time in Wickenburg yesterday. If ever you want to visit a beautiful, historic, Western town that is full of kind people, I would suggest a trip to Wickenburg, Arizona. Many many thanks to the library director, Ann Boles, for inviting me.
And now it’s almost April. This coming Friday, April 5, I’ll be speaking about my writing process along with fellow authors Betty Webb and Margaret Stewart at Desert Foothills Library in Cave Creek, AZ. Writer’s Connection is a new program offered by the library to help aspiring authors connect with local writers to learn and share the elements of effective writing, and information about publication. Presentations and discussions feature topics designed to inspire and motivate both professionals and amateurs, and to enhance writing skills in any genre. Meetings are facilitated and most include a writing exercise and a speaker. Click on the “Events” page for details about how to sign up.
Have you ever attended a literary salon? It is a thing not to be missed. On April 27, you must join me, Elizabeth Gunn, and Susan Cummins Miller for an informal, guided conversation, books to buy, good food and wine at A Literary Evening with Three Wise and Witty Women. The guiding spirit behind this event and our intrepid hostess is Judith Starkson, who is pretty wise and witty herself. I’ll be posting all the details as time grows closer, but feel free to go ahead and register. You won’t be sorry. Get the registration details by visiting my “Events” page.
