First of all, my friend Betty Webb has a new book out. I recommend it to everyone, but especially to those who enjoy historical mysteries set in the 1920s – in Paris, among the artistes, no less! I’ve written mysteries set in the 1920s and I can attest that Betty did her homework on this one. The reviews are stellar, too.
As for me… I am still plugging along on the manuscript for my new mystery, a contemporary set in Arkansas and Amsterdam! I love unlikely combinations, and working on this mystery has been great fun.
This is my first non-historical, though, so it’s quite different crafting a mystery in the age of cell phones and DNA technology than in the age of shoot first and ask questions later. At least in modern times we can be relatively confident of the outcome of the investigation. Can’t we?
My tell Me Your Story Guest for April is also a departure. She’s Eva Moon — author, playwright, screenwriter, musician, composer, performer, former Huffington Post blogger, speaker — who also has one true nature: Storyteller. Be sure and join us from April 20 – 30 to read Eva’s story of overcoming some quite daunting obstacles to accomplish things most of us can only dream of.
